Reference
The BMW M performance exhaust systems have a European approval as separate technical unit of R51/R59. A separate registration (TUV, etc.) or a change in the vehicle documents is not necessary!

The approval number is placed on the silencer. This number authorities such as police, etc. can the see the registration documents.
